Sisu is a flexible and fast-paced startup looking to meet the unmet medical technology needs of most of the world’s population.

 

Our first product, Hemafuse, is a patented surgical tool to manually salvage, filter, and recycle blood from internal bleeding back to the patient. Hemafuse is the first in a pipeline of medical devices that address challenges unique to emerging markets, such as blood access. We have achieved regulatory approval in Ghana and Kenya for Hemafuse and are entering the market launch phase as a company.

Description

The program manager will be responsible for maintaining the portfolio of projects within Sisu Global Health.  The program manager will determine the personnel and budget needed to achieve the strategic objectives and will be responsible for the prioritizing the allocation of resources to keep project milestones on track. The program manager will hold each project lead accountable to project progress and will be able to reallocate personnel and budget as needed to meet strategic objectives. The position would report directly to CEO.

This full-time role will need to take on additional responsibilities depending on experience (e.g. contract management, HR, project management).

 

Responsibilities

  • Determine the personnel and budget resources needed to execute Sisu’s projects
  • Collaborate with project leads to build project plans that align with strategic objectives
  • Communicate project issues with management including missing timelines, overbudget and milestone failures
  • Prioritize resource allocation to portfolio project in alignment with strategic objectives for both for investment and grant projects
  • Update project leads on their project status and raise any potential issues
  • Check in on project progress and reallocate project resources if needed to meet strategic objectives
  • Responsible for ensuring key stakeholder alignment on all aspects of projects
  • Apply project management principles
  • Establish tracking metrics for projects
  • Deliver commitments to the business on time and on budget while minimizing risk
  • Create the communications plan throughout the entire cycle of a project.
  • Execute the day-to-day management of the project management process.
  • Manage operational tasks such as creating and sending status reports, hrs entry, meeting notes,
  • Maintain accurate information in project management tools

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in program management. A plus in a regulated industry such as medical device, pharmaceutical, aviation, etc.
  • Leadership Skills including:
  • Motivational skills
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Tactical decision making
  • Formal risk management experience
  • Time management and strategic vision: able to manage multiple projects and timelines with keen oversight
  • Proficient in MS Project, Mavenlink or equivalent software
  • Math and financial expertise to perform budget maintenance and accountability
  • Experience in a small team environment
  • Certification as a project management professional (PMP) a plus
